All Clear After Unloaded Gun Found at Prince George’s County School.

A Prince George’s County high school was briefly locked down Friday after a student found an unloaded gun.

A student at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland saw the weapon and reported it Friday morning, a Prince George’s County Schools spokesperson said.

The school was locked down for 30 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m., while security and Prince George’s County police searched for the gun.

The weapon was found and nobody was injured, the spokesperson said.

Police are conducting an investigation.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md.  — The Prince George’s County Police Department is searching for a missing 13-year-old girl from Fort Washington, Md.

Police are searching for Kayla Corynn Claggett, who was last seen in the 1200 block of Van Buren Drive in Fort Washington on Friday around 9:40 a.m., according to authorities.

She is described as an African-American girl, standing 5’10”, weighing 250 pounds. She has a curly pony tail. She was last seen wearing a black coat, black shoes, and red pants.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Regional Investigation Division – Southern Region at (301) 749-5064.
