Reports emanating from the Maryland legislature in Annapolis are causing untold worry according to people familiar with the situation. Prince George’s county leaders are involved in major cover up to undermine the governance of the Prince George’s county public schools (PGCPS) and derail the reveal of HB1107 law. Thus essentially keeping everything status quo to the detriment of the youth.

The plan by the Prince George’s county Delegation led by Delegate Mr. Darryl Barnes to Amend PG 507-18 /HB 186 was done in bad faith after the union rewarded them. The new amendments calls for inclusion of a Member of Prince George’s county Educator Association (PGCEA) as part of the county Board and it is illegal due to quid pro quo. The pay to play occurred after Delegate Mr. Darrl Barnes received an endorsement of MSEA. PGCEA reports to MSEA and is currently involved in major violations of employees grievances and is being sued.

There are several major players who are said to be the major facilitators of the derailment of the law starting with Delegate Dereck Davis. He wants the law to fail so that his wife who is the Deputy Superintendent of Prince George’s county public schools can benefit from the fiasco.

According to a series of information received through Facebook from Senator (D) Anthony Muse  and sponsor of the bill for complete reveal of the bill, the first message stated the following:

” My bill is 1107 to return us back to an all elected school board. Delegate Walker will not let it out for a vote. Per millers instructions and Bakers”

second message stated the following ….

Delegate Jay Walker is not letting my school board repeal bill out for a vote. This is wrong. This is politics at its worst. Yes all need to join in and put pressure on him from our district and County to return it to an all elected school board as my bill demands”.

The third message stated the following in part…..

“…..The senators will not help. Mike Miller and baker wants the process to remain the same They do not want an elected school board as far as I can tell because these two don’t want it. Wow wow.”

Delegate Mr. Darryl Barnes is in major water after changing the rules to limit public participation. According to keen observers, Mr. Barnes is being controlled by Delegate Dereck Davis. He must go home from the Maryland legislature by electing new leaders to replace.

Delegate Dereck Davis (chairman of economic matters in Maryland) is said to be the force behind the scenes to derail progress so that his wife can benefit from the fiasco and derailment. He must go home from the Maryland legislature by electing new leaders to replace him.

MAJOR ELECTION IN 2018

Voters in Prince George’s County will select a new county executive, two at-large county council members, and nine council district representatives in the Democratic primary on June 26. Of these twelve races, eight have no incumbent because they are either new or subject to term limits. This is a year where everything is on the table, and showing up to the polls will tremendously influence the next eight years of the county’s future.

County residents are requested to file and run for public offices to shake the county and lead the way forward in Maryland with new leaders for the future of the county.

If you live in Prince George’s County, first, make sure you are registered to vote. You can register online if you are up to date with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. Otherwise, it’s still very easy process to register by mail. Do it now, or at least by June 5, 2018 (the 21-day deadline before the June 26 primary).

Every candidate listed is running as a Democrat, and you must register as a Democrat if you want to vote in the Democratic primary. The simple fact is that in a county where 79 percent of voters are registered as Democrats, the primary is the election and not the November election.
