Off-road vehicle crash kills Pgcps teen in Prince George’s County.

Another Prince George’s county public schools teenager was killed Saturday evening in the crash of an off-road vehicle in the Clinton area of Prince George’s County, authorities said.

He was riding in a Utility Terrain Vehicle, or UTV, on the grounds of the Stephen Decatur Community Center and Middle School when it “somehow crashed,” said the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.

The two others were not injured in the crash, which occurred on an athletic field, said Brian Waters, an executive lieutenant with the park police. The name of the 17-year-old victim was not released.

The crash is under investigation.

A UTV has been described as a blend of All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and pickup truck. It is designed to safely carry more than one person. It is designed to carry a heavier load.
