All Clear After Unloaded Gun Found at Prince George’s County School.

A Prince George’s County high school was briefly locked down Friday after a student found an unloaded gun.

A student at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland saw the weapon and reported it Friday morning, a Prince George’s County Schools spokesperson said.

The school was locked down for 30 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m., while security and Prince George’s County police searched for the gun.

The weapon was found and nobody was injured, the spokesperson said.

Police are conducting an investigation.

  1. I taught in high school in Miami 33 years. These things were common. Survival becomes more important than reading and writing. Far too many in ivory tower condemn schools and teachers but have no idea what today’s teens face every day.
